Amazon - Product Description is Misleading and Not Clear

This is post two of my 10-part series on Amazon

Problem: Product not being sold in standard configuration

Rubbermaid Commercial Products FG263200RED BRUTE Heavy-Duty Round Trash/Garbage Can, 32-Gallon, Red for $49.99. I purchased several of these in the hopes that they were actually made by Rubbermaid as I recalled that they always seemed to be indestructible and I needed a long-lasting trash can at the farm. Sure enough, they were actually made by Rubbermaid and not clones. The only problem is that they do not sell them with lids and that isn’t very clear in the product description and those that ask a question get either yes or no. I gambled and I lost, I had to purchase lids for $16 each from another vendor.

I mean who would expect to get a trash can without a lid? This is another issue with Amazon, vendors are pulling these types of games, not including a power cord, or not including screws to mount something, or like this, not including lids.

I tried to write a negative review, so others know and Amazon stated that it was clear in the product write-up that there were no lids. I’m not sure what page they were looking at, but the one that I purchased from does not state that a lid is or is not included. However, it does state that a Compatible Device is FG263100RED Brute 32 gal. Lid, Red. But then again, it also states that the cans are a painted finish and require 1 AA battery, so, there is that!

Since my purchase, there are several people complaining in the reviews that libs are not included, but they were not there when I made my purchase. There is also a question that is now the top question with 11 people answering stating that there are no lids, but I didn’t see that question when I made my purchase, after all, there are 131 questions, and I know I didn’t look at all of them. Regardless, it isn’t clear that there were no lids, thank you Amazon for nothing.

FYI, if you go to a big box store, the lids are sold right next to or on top of the cans.
