Veteran Asshat Runs His Mouth

Asshat of the Year Goes To...

This shit pissed me off big time. As a member of the U.S. Military, you raise your hand to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

This means that when you leave active duty, your oath doesn’t expire and that you need to keep your mouth shut about shit that you witnessed while on active duty. I’m so tired of all these assholes who will sell out the United States just for a few minutes of fame.

Here we have this douche who feels that it is his right to sell out his country. So, we have this Army veteran, who is running his suck about things that he saw while stationed at Fort Bragg / Fort Liberty. Granted the things that he witnessed were from 2010, but I can tell you that in the 35-plus years that I have held my TS/SCI security clearance, there are many projects that I have been involved in that take 10-15 years or more to be completed. So, the things he is running his suck about could still be being developed today.

The unnamed combat soldier (alright, so I’m running my suck and showing my face, but don’t print my name, as if that will stop the Feds from locating and arresting your ass), is not only running his mouth about that, but a whole host of things that he claims to have witnessed while on active duty. What possible reason could you have to sell out your country?

I think that part of the problem is that people just don’t understand how classifying things work. Most things are classified for one of several reasons, with the most popular reason being that knowledge of this project or device could put other lives in danger. A good case of this would be that we have an insider in a country or location and that insider is reporting back to us. And if knowledge of the project and what we know about that project or device, would put that insider’s life or his loved one’s life in danger. So, we classify the project or device to protect their life. If their life is jeopardized, then we lose the inside track we had to that foreign project or device.

The next most common reason is that the technology that we have either invented or possessed if a foreign asset would have access to the technology, could cause grave danger to the US. So, we classify it to protect its existence. This is the biggest way that China uses to obtain much of their tech, they have an insider in one of our projects and they sent details on this classified tech back to China and they build their own.

So, we have this loudmouth, running his suck and he is going to either get someone killed or give US tech to a foreign country, just so he can get his picture in the media, what a tool. I know, I’m a little harsh, but this is a very serious problem and people get hurt one way or the other. Let’s say that we have a widget that we build and someone blabs about it to a country that we are not friendly with. They make their widget and use them against us, killing hundreds or more people.
