Redlight King - In Our Blood

The Redlight King is a Canadian band that formed in 2009 and features frontman Mark “Kaz” Kasprzyk (from the band Kazzer – Pedal To The Metal). Redlight King made waves in 2011 when they released their debut album ‘Something For The Pain’. Something For The Pain, featured several great songs, including “Something For The Pain“, “Bullet in My Hand” and “Old Man” (a reinterpretation of Neil Young’s hit song ‘Neil Young – Old Man‘)

‘In Our Blood’ is a single, from their forthcoming album ‘In Our Blood’ (no release date at the time of the writing of this post). Redlight King has songs featured in films such as The Italian Job, Draft Day, Iron Man 3, and The Avengers, television shows such as Person of Interest, as well as having songs licensed to ESPN, NASCAR, NFL, CFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB.

In Our BloodAnd you figured that with all that, their name would be a household name, but very few people have ever heard of them. It seems that Mark Kasprzk just can’t catch the break that he is looking for. If you look at their Wikipedia page, you will see that there isn’t much published about the band. And if you look at Mark’s Wikipedia page, you will see that he has been trying to catch that big break for years with little to no luck.

I personally loved their ‘Something For The Pain’ and was a little disappointed with the ‘Irons In the Fire’ album and extremely disappointed with the ‘Moonshine’ album. Let’s hope that the ‘In Our Blood’ album rocks!
