Burn The Jukebox

Talk about a great cover band, these kits love to cover great 80s and 90s music. Their name is Burn The Jukebox, but I’m sure these guys have never even seen a real jukebox, but that doesn’t matter. This is a very very young band, with the band members being between 15-16 years old. They are out of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania with most everything coming from Carter’s basement. The band consists of Ethan Cutillo (15) lead vocals, keyboard; Luke Vanchure (15) lead guitar; Virginia Franks (16) lead vocals, bass; Carter Dennis (16) on drums. Most of the repertoire spans five decades and is from an era when these young teens were not even thought of. They all come from families of musicians and they found each other through their parents actually. They got together in February 2020 and started to practice in Carter’s basement and the rest is history as they say. They truly are a small family band with a big sound and huge reach. They film their social media videos in Carter’s basement, and Virginia’s dad does all the mixing. Their more professional recordings are done in Virginia’s basement studio.

They have released 7 albums and have even been on Tour in 2021.

I found this band on my Facebook feed of all places and I was instantly hooked, particularly because I love the style of music that they cover:

Fountain of Wayne - Stacy's Mom
Van Halen - Eruption
No Doubt - Don't Speak
Cyndi Lauper - True Colors
Eddie Money - Take Me Home Tonight
Nena - 99 Luftballons
REM - Everybody Hurts
Dropkick Murphy's - I'm Shipping Up to Boston

They truly are a small grassroots family band. Virginia’s dad is their producer, her mom is their manager. They practice in their basements, turned studio. Ethan has been playing since he was 4 years old, Luke since he has been 5 years old, and Carter got his first drum kit when he was 1 year old. Virginia is an accomplished actress (Impractical Jokers, Project Runway, PBS Sprout, and a few commercials), plus she plays the ukulele, piano, and cello as well as bass and electric guitar.
