They say that laughter is the best medicine, for me, I would have to agree. I have found that the best way to deal with the pain and be down about the pain (I guess it is really depression in a mild form) that goes with it, is to laugh and take it seriously. I love a great joke, but with today’s political correctness, all the ‘good’ jokes tend to be neutered to the point that they really aren’t funny, so I turned to YouTube and Podcasts. Being a Techie, for some reason, I was really behind the power curve on Podcasts. I listened to my first Podcast in October 2018. It was for a local radio DJ – Brady, who I had been listening to on the radio off and on for the past 10 years. He got fired from the local station and moved down the road 60 miles to a larger market. Several years later, when he got fired from that station, he started a daily Podcast and I was hooked. 

Before that, I started following a few comedians on YouTube, with the first being the now late Verne Troyer (Mini Me) his YouTube channel is still up as of the time of this post and has close to 1 million followers, but I don’t know if someone is maintaining it after his death in early 2018. Verne was a funny man, if you haven’t checked out his channel, give it a watch. Verne wasn’t a stand-up comedian, he just did a bunch of funny stuff.

One of the other comedians that I followed is Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, his YouTube channel is very active at the time of this post. Fluffy is funny, period, and probably one of the funniest comedians around today.
