Coast Guardsman of the Year 2021 - Petty Officer 1st Class Trevor Salt

Aviation Survival Technician Petty Officer 1st Class Trevor Salt has the focus and determination of many in his profession. As a rescue swimmer, his job is to be dropped into harsh conditions where someone is in trouble and find a way to get everyone out alive. From Coast Guard Sector North Bend, he did just that thing when the call came in of hikers in trouble in cold and snowy conditions. Here is his story.
