Corey Taylor

Corey Taylor isn’t a new band or singer, but he is new to the solo scene, with his first solo studio album “CMFT” (Corey MF Taylor) released in October 2020. If the name or voice sounds familiar, that is because Corey is the lead vocalist, guitarist, lyricist, and sole continuous member of the rock band Stone Sour, but also is the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Slipknot. And if that isn’t enough, he is also an actor appearing in over 20 movies.

The first solo song of Corey’s that I heard was Beyond, give it a good listen.

Here is Corey singing “On The Dark Side” originally sung by John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band and is from the Eddie and the Cruisers soundtrack

If you listen to any rock or metal music, then you might have heard Samantha’s Gone which is an original song by Corey. The video which is directed by DJay Brawner is a comedic pop-up video with a start cast to include actor Dean Cameron, actor Tom Sandoval, guitarist Ace Von Johnson of LA Guns and Faster Pussycat, guitarist Travis Miguel of Atreyu, Michael Starr, Satchel, Lexxi Foxx and Stix Zadinia of Steel Panther, Jonah Nimoy of Offspring and Actor Greg Grunberg.

Plus obviously Corey Taylor, along with CMFT’s guitarist Christian “Tooch” Martucci, guitarist Zach Throne, bassist Jason Christopher, and drummer Dustin Robert.

Another star-studded video by Corey is CMFT Must Be Stopped, featuring Tech N9ne, Kid Bookie, Lars Ulrich from Metallica, Rob Halford from Judas Priest, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, and Marilyn Manson along with many others.
