Black Stone Cherry

I’m not a Black Stone Cherry fan, but then again, I’m not saying I am not a fan either. To be honest, I really hadn’t given them much of a listen. But on my ride home back from work. I change my streaming to a different station than what I listen to in the morning and listen to heavy and alternative music stations. That is how I found “Ringin’ in My Head” by Black Stone Cherry and to be honest it rocks pretty well. Not as hard and I like it, but then again, it certainly doesn’t wimp out. Ringin’ In My Head is off their latest album The Human Condition.

I’m not sure if that was the intent, but the two guitar solos sound as if they were almost glued onto the track, they just sound off, sound scratchy, almost fake. I find I find the whole mixing a little off, as though it wasn’t mixed correctly. The second guitar solo it drowning out the rest of the musicians.

Black Stone Cherry is an American rock band, formed in 2001 in Edmonton, Kentucky. They were signed to Roadrunner Records in 2015; the band is now signed to Mascot Label Group. The band consists of Chris Robertson (lead vocals, lead guitar), Ben Wells (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jon Lawhon (bass guitar, backing vocals), and John Fred Young (drums, backing vocals). Black Stone Cherry has released eight studio albums as well as three EPs and has charted seventeen singles on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. Their latest album, The Human Condition, was released on October 30, 2020 (Wikipedia).

I’m certain that Black Stone Cherry will be part of my regular rotation on my phone.
