Compression T-Shirt
I have been looking for something that will keep pressure on the site where my costochondritis hurts me the most. I tried wraps, but they didn’t work, they just bunched up. I tried a back brace and it didn’t work, it applied pressure to the back and was too low and centered. Then I was tooling about on Amazon and decided to look for a compression t-shirt and that is when I ran across “TAILONG Men’s Compression Shirt for Body Shaper Slimming Vest Tight Tummy Underwear Tank Top“. I decided to throw a few dollars at it and ordered one. It arrive and I put it on and OMG did it make a world of difference.
When I was ordering it I was concerned about getting the right size. I have lost 35 pounds so far in 2022, and I didn’t want to get one that is too loose, but I was afraid to get one size down as it might be way too tight. So I normally wear XL shirts and that is what I ordered.
When I unwrapped it and put it on for the first time. I didn’t think it was going to fit, it was a little difficult to get over my arms. Partially because of the pain of raising my arms like that and also because it was very snug. But once I got it on, it really helped a ton. Now I’m not saying it will help you and your costochondritis pain, but for me, it helps greatly. It doesn’t take the pain away, but it does help make me feel more comfortable where the pain is located.
I’m very leary about making a post like this. I make a post on Facebook about my IMAK Compression Gloves, and I got flamed with what I call condom complaints. “It is too tight”, “it is too restricting”, and “I can’t move in them”. For me and many people with OA in their hands, they work. Mine is RA, but they work for me. So please by all means, if you decide to purchase a compression shirt because “Average Joe said to”, then just know you are on your own here. Your mileage may vary, I’m not endorsing shit, period. I’m just saying that for me, it works and nothing more.
If you get one, I honestly hope that it works for you and that your pain is less.
