Losing My Rheumatologist
I just returned from my regular Rheumatologist appointment and discovered that she will no longer be practicing medicine. First, I wish her well and hope everything works out for her and her family.
Now, I’m in the sucky process of trying to find a decent Rheumatologist in an area where there are not too many to start with. I will likely have to go up to NOVA (Nothern Virginia) like we are for most of our “ists”.
Looking for new doctors sucks, but going to them is even worse. You have to pretty much start all over with them.
I know it isn’t about me all the time, but I honestly wish her well and hope everything turns out for her, but yeah, part of it is about me.

Welcome to the Average Joe Weekly blog. This is basically my place on the web where I can help spread some of the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. I served 10+ years in the Marine Corps on Active Duty, but that was some 25 years ago.
