10 Things You May Not Know About Me

1. My Hobbies: Coin collecting, photography, working on computers, Hiking, and Camping

2. One thing people say that gets under my skin is: “I just don’t have time…” or “I’m too busy…”

3. My favorite motto, scripture, and quote that gets me through tough times is: If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter

4. I live in pain almost every day, but I hide it, as I don’t want to burden anyone and show them my weaknesses

5. I loved being a Marine, I miss it sometimes

6. I feel compelled to give back to the community and country

7. I’m a tightwad. I hate having the family spend money on me. I have been known to wear shoes that are held together by glue or tape

8. I’m a perfectionist

9. I can fix most anything if given the tools and the time

10. Writing this blog and sharing all this is therapeutic for me, but also I hate admitting I’m sick

Welcome to the Average Joe Weekly blog. This is basically my place on the web where I can help spread some of the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. I served 10+ years in the Marine Corps on Active Duty, but that was some 25 years ago.

Thanks for sharing a little about who you really are. It really helps make a connection. I hope that you thinking that you are a burden is not true, but knowing how my spouse is…. Blessings

  3. I really loved being a Marine myself, I was in for 13 years before I had to medically retire. I miss it all the time.
