Locked Gas Cap - Level Not Achieved
I pulled up to the new Sheetz to take advantage of their cheap gas for their grand opening. We are talking about some .50¢ a gallon savings. After waiting about 10 minutes in line the person in front of you, doesn’t want to pay at the pump, so they went inside, then they took their time pumping the gas, only to have to go back inside again when they were done. Sometime later, they came out with all their groceries for the next week.
Finally, it is my turn at the pump. I go to unlock the locking gas cap, that I installed last year when the local gasoline prices were around the $4.50 a gallon mark and assholes were stealing gas in the middle of the night. I inserted the key and turned the locking cylinder and what should have happened didn’t, instead, when I turned the key, the entire cylinder for the lock came out with the key, and the cap remained locked. I tried for a minute or so to remove the cap, with no luck. I did the one thing that most people would not do, I moved my car from the pump and parked in the parking lot so I can get the damn lock removed.
The good thing is that after some playing around with it, I got it removed and the best part was that I got the cheap gas.
