Happy Pi Day
March 14th marks Pi Day (the mathematical constant or Pi – 3.14159265.. or 3.14 or March 14th)
What is Pi Day and why do we celebrate the holiday? Each March 14, mathematicians, scientists, and math lovers all over the world have a good time on Pi Day, a commemoration of the mathematical constant Pi. The date is written numerically as 3/14 matches the primary three digits of the infinite quantity: 3.14.
Pi has been calculated to be over 50 trillion digits beyond its decimal point. As an irrational and transcendental number, it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern. While only a handful of digits are needed for typical calculations, Pi’s infinite nature makes it a fun challenge to memorize and computationally calculate more and more digits.
Pi = 3.141592653589793238462643

Welcome to the Average Joe Weekly blog. This is basically my place on the web where I can help spread some of the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. I served 10+ years in the Marine Corps on Active Duty, but that was some 25 years ago.
