Happy Valentine's Day 2019
Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. Originating as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early saints named Valentinus, Valentine’s Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world, although it is not a public holiday in any country.
n the United States, about 190 million Valentine’s Day cards are sent each year, not including the hundreds of millions of cards schoolchildren exchange.
Valentine’s Day is a major source of economic activity, with total expenditures in 2017 topping $18.2 billion in 2017 or over $136 per person. This is an increase from $108 per person in 2010.
Happy Valentines Day and make sure you tell your sweetheart that you love them dearly.
“How Do I Love Thee?”
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints,—I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!—and, if God choose
OMG, that MEME of the cat is way too funny. Thanks for sharing!
LOL, thank you, it fits my particular type of humor.
