Too Cheap to License The EGA
It kills me that legal firms are too damn cheap to purchase the commercial use of the EGA from the Marine Corps. Here, I’ll help you out some, here is the link to the USMC Trademark Licensing Office.
If you aren’t aware, for some companies like the Advocate Alliance Group, want to use the likeness of a Marine in their advertisements, then they need to license the use of the EGA, which just happens to be the one (well, three) things that are missing from this ad. The EGA on the cover and the two collar emblems are missing for that very reason, well they actually used Adobe Photoshop to remove them and they did a piss poor job of it too, you can still see some of the right collar emblem is visible.
The really sad part is in the average class action lawsuit, the legal firm(s) involved make more than 50% of the winnings, so they can afford it.

Welcome to the Average Joe Weekly blog. This is basically my place on the web where I can help spread some of the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. I served 10+ years in the Marine Corps on Active Duty, but that was some 25 years ago.
