Marine Corps Rules to Live By
Every Marine has a set of rules that he lives by, these rules are not to be broken and they are at the very core of who he is as a person and as a Marine. One thing that the general public does not understand is that being a Marine is not just joining the Marine Corps, you earn the title of U.S. Marine, and that stays with you for life, Once a Marine, Always a Marine.
1. 5 minutes early is late
2. Emotions are overrated
3. Keep your mouth shut
4. Avoid the fight, but when it becomes time to fight, know how to win, there is no such thing as a fair fight
5. Tragedy happens, get over it
6. The ‘Suck’ won’t last forever
7. Always pack more socks
8. Never walk on the grass
9. Always stand at attention during the playing of the Marine’s Hymn
10. Be hard, on yourself and physically (fit)
