More Credit Card Skimmers

After we learned all about Credit Card Skimmers and how difficult it can be to stop the spread of them, how are they showing up everywhere?

You Can Buy Them

A quick search on the web reveals that you can buy them on sites like Wish.com, Alibaba, and even eBay. I found ads for ATM keypads, a slew of different green covers for the ATM card slot overlays for the card swipe machine at stores like Wal-Mart, the bezel to go around many different types of gas pumps, card readers, magnetic card readers, Bluetooth gas pump skimmers, and more, most sold as “Anti Skimmer” or “Anti Skimming”, just like people sell gun parts on Facebook Market place. Digi-key has plans on how to make them. And I haven’t even searched on the dark web. So as you can see this stuff is all over the place. There are files online that you download to print your own “tamper seals” as well as websites where you can purchase exact copies of common seals.
