Cool Website For November

The Cool Website for this month is Browserling.com, which may not help everyone, but it will certainly help those that are a developer. What Browerling does is allow you to see what a website, page, or app will look like on another device or another browser. Let’s say that you want to test to see what it will look like on Chrome on Windows Vista. Without Browserling, you would need to have access to a Windows Vista device with Chrome installed or a virtual machine (VM) running Windows Vista and Chrome.

With Browserling, you simply input your requirements and it will test it and show you the requested output, it is that simple. And the good thing is that you no longer need to maintain all those VM, just to test a webpage.

Yes, there are other websites that do the same thing, but Browserling is free, second, you actually get 3 minutes of usage/session (with the free plan) in the sandboxed environment to interact with the website/page you are testing, not just a screenshot rendering of what the page looks like.

Browserling does offer a paid option for $19 a month, which allows you unlimited testing, more OS and browser versions, and screenshots.

Need something a little more robust, then maybe one of these options fits your requirements

Browsershots – This does just what it sounds like, it takes screenshots of the requested pages, and sends them to you. This is a good option when you need to see the site in a wide variety of browsers and OSs. Supported browsers: Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari, SeaMonkey, Arora, Dillo, Epiphany, Konqueror, Lynx, Luakit, Rekonq, and Midori have many more browsers with all versions.

Comparium – Like Browsershots and a few others, this simple interface simply takes screenshots and sends them to you for your review. Supports Linux and Windows 10 browsers only (no mobile devices)

CrossBrowserTesting can cost you over $30 a month

If you need something that is more robust, more substantial, something with more options and automation then take a look at these options:

Browsera

BrowserStack Live

Experitest

HeadSpin

Katalon Studio

LambdaTest

Turbo Browser Sandbox

Ranorex Studio
