Someone is Trying to Hurt My Dog
This one pisses me off very much, as I love my dog very much, she is very important to me and my family. I can’t yet, pin this on someone, but I am fairly certain that it is my neighbor. I got a new neighbor 5-6 months ago. It started out as a Hispanic father, son, and daughter, and now I think there are somewhere between 10-14 people living in that tiny house. There are 6-7 vehicles parked in the driveway and all over the yard, so it is difficult to determine exactly how many people are living in that place, but that isn’t the focus of this post. This post is about how someone is leaving food scraps on the ground and of course, my dog, which has some beagle in her, finds them and eats them before we can even notice.
She is watched when she is let outside, even though she knows to stay in her yard and she hasn’t left it without being on a leash. This most recent incident was chocolate left on our sidewalk, right in front of the door. They are intentionally trying to get around my Ring doorbell and the camera that I have set up in the front yard. The chocolate was unwrapped and melted when I got home, but chocolate can kill a dog. Before that, it was some cookies, a few pieces of chocolate candy, pizza crusts, and part of a McDonald’s burger. I originally thought that they were just being pigs and tossing the food out of their car when they were heading inside their house, but with this last one being on our sidewalk, it proved that someone was intentionally doing it.
I posted a sign on my fence stating, “DO NOT FEED MY DOG“, but to be honest, I’m not sure if they speak or understand English. So to help combat this, I adjusted my camera in the front yard to focus on the front of the house. This will hopefully catch them, so I can be that guy and call the police on them. I hate to do it, but it is now obvious that someone is trying to harm my dog.
***NOTE*** I’m not convinced that they are trying to hurt her, I just think they don’t understand.
