Driving Pet Peeves- Brake, Brake, Brake

I find it hard to believe that in 2024 there are still people who drive with two feet, one on the gas and the other resting on the brake pedal. I guess that they don’t understand that they are killing their brakes by doing that shit.

Then there is the dumbass that taps their brakes every few hundred feet, I guess just to make sure that they work. Got behind both assholes today on my way to work.

I have about a 45-minute commute, and I wasn’t on the road more than five minutes until I got behind this jackass that tapped his brakes every 30 seconds or so. I mean, there wasn’t even anyone in front of him for a good 200 or more feet and this jackass just kept tapping them. I wasn’t riding his ass either, so this was just his normal behavior.

The problem with this is that I don’t know if you are braking for a problem or not and if you keep doing it, I’m just going to start to ignore them, which makes you dangerous to be behind.

About 25 minutes later, there was this young girl, who was resting her foot on the brake pedal at some 65 mph, cruising down the Interstate. Which of course makes everyone either hit their brakes for no real reason or they just start to ignore her, which makes her extremely dangerous. This chick couldn’t have been any more than 17 years old, so she is a new driver. You would think that the driving instructor or the DMV inspector would notice this and say something.

Greetings Earth People, I'm Mia and Joe is allowing me to post on his blog as a guest blogger, I sure hope he knows what he is in for. I wanted to post about some of my pet peeves and he told me that he already has a guest blogger for that section, so I'm going to post about etiquette. Now this isn't some stuffy how-to have a dinner party BS with a half dozen different forks, this is more along the lines of don't be an asshat type of etiquette. The dictionary describes etiquette as "the customary code of polite behavior in society or among members of a particular profession or group.". I define it as, don't be that asshat that everyone hates.
