Silent Theory

Silent Theory was formed in 2010, with the Swanger brothers from Moscow, Idaho (Mitch, Scott, and George) and Robert James (a close friend of the family). Dakota Tyler joined the band as the band’s lead singer in 2014. From the beginning, they wanted to make music that people can relate to. They wanted fans to like their songs a little more every time they hear them. The band’s biggest break was in 2010 when they were on MTV Cribs, performing their single “Livin’ the Dream”, resulting in their first record deal.

After the release of the “Black Tie Affair” album, the band toured the nation in the summer of 2012 to promote the album and the single, “Livin’ the Dream“. In 2013, they released “Outta My Head” as a single, and then they went “silent”, I guess in “theory” (see what I did there?). Their second album “Delusions” was released in 2016, followed by a tour to support the album. And like they did before, they went silent, until 2021 when they released “Hunt or Be Hunted“.

I got turned on to Silent Theory, when the radio station that I stream, (Yes, I said radio station) 101.5 WBHB, played the new single “So Far, So Good”.
