Rough Start To A Trip
I’m about 1.5 hours away from home in Northern Maryland this week for some training for work. The trip was well, let’s just say rough, the drive was painful on many levels. First, my medications aren’t really killing the pain the last few days so there is that and the beltway traffic around Washington DC was stop and go, more stop than go actually. I get to my destination to find that my Government travel card is declined, so I pay for one night with my personal card, I will (and did) fix that in the morning (turned out that you have to use it periodically or it gets put in inactive status, thus declined. A quick phone call in the morning and bingo, all better). My room is clean(ish), but there was a black hair in my sink, one in my shower, and one in my bed, god knows where else they are, this will be fun explaining to the wife when I get home. I didn’t sleep a wink either and I’m all depressed for some reason.
Good thing is that I got to do two things that I like, I got to take some photos of nature (see below) and I got to go for a short walk in the rain. An added bonus is that I was able to open the window in my fourth-floor room to get some fresh air and hear the sounds of the world, ahhhhhhh.
Still feeling down today, not sure why either, it was a decent day, but it is what it is, welcome to the world of taking a crap ton of medications.
Enjoy some of my nature pics, I love taking photos.
I know you have been in worse conditions Marine, suck it up buttercup. Seriously, that sucks.
Sorry that the trip is sucking, but nice pics.
I’m not so sure that I could handle this at this point in my life. You are a brave soul. I love your photos. I think I told you that I’m a photography buff as well.
Blessings
