It was 32 years ago today, I stepped on those famous yellow footprints and started my journey to become a United States Marine at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California. It was a very dark night, the wind was still and the bus stopped in front of the processing building, then all hell broke loose as a Drill Instructor came aboard the bus and sternly ordered us off the bus.
