The Oldest Living Marine

***Note*** I’m limited in how I can do research on this topic. I’m not an employee of the Marine Corps or the Veteran’s Administration, so my research is limited to what I can find publicly. I had also been working on this post for a while now. After much thought, I decided to break this long post into separate parts, honoring each of the Marines individually.

The official start date for this project is Jan 1, 2021

Sgt Dorothy “Dotty” Cole – She was 107 years old when she passed (January 7, 2021) – When she passed Major William C. White became the oldest Marine at 106 years old. When he passed (on March 4th, 2022, that left the oldest Marine to be Fred Moufang.

Welcome to the Average Joe Weekly blog. This is basically my place on the web where I can help spread some of the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. I served 10+ years in the Marine Corps on Active Duty, but that was some 25 years ago.
