Paying For A Bootcamp Experience
I recently watched a YouTube video by NICKY MGTV on the Modern Day Knight Project. The Modern Day Knight Project is billed as a 75-hour, $18K program where you essentially attend a blended mix of USMC Bootcamp, S.E.R.E, and BUD/S experience. Their website states, “The Modern Day Knight Project is only for Entrepreneurs, Executives & Leaders who are ready for a serious BREAKTHROUGH. This exclusive experience ISN’T for anyone just starting their self-development journey. This in-depth experience is for men who are seriously ready and tired of making excuses.” All without a refund.
The project is the brainchild of Bedros Keuilian (founder of a Gym/Camp), Marine Veteran Steve Eckert, Marine Raider Veteran Nick Koumalatsos, Navy Seal Veteran William Branum, and Retired Air Force S.E.R.E. specialist Chris Weichman.
Let me state that I do not hate the Project. I have high respect for Nick Koumalatsos and I firmly believe that there are thousands of weak ass men, who can not cut it in the military and they are willing to spend their fortune to feel better about themselves. They are also very likely the same men who bash the military at every corner.
So, kudos to the project. I honestly wish I had thought of this. In my daily life, I run into men who bash the military because we are stupid, or drones, or weak, yet these guys are dropping serious money for 75 hours of fuck-fuck games.
I’m not sure why you would pay for this, and I wonder how many of those who have graduated from this three-day and three-hour program think that they are some type of badass now, that they played military for three days.
I can tell you that boot camp was a joke for me, but for others, it was an athletic nightmare, while for others, it was a huge mental game. But boot camp isn’t the worst of what most of us face in the military. Take the Navy SEALs, where boot camp was at Great Lakes, and they did exactly what every other sailor did. Then came their election for BUD/S and that was some primary training, but for those who finished the entire process, BUD/S was not the worst part for them. Take Chris Weichman, I’m sure that the first he went through S.E.R.E. as a participant, it was rough, but I’m also sure that as an Instructor of S.E.R.E., I’m sure that he faced some shit that was undoubtedly harder. Take Marine Raider veteran Nick Koumalatsos. The boot camp for him was different, but he felt like he was rotting in the Corps as an admin clerk. Then came his selection to be a Raider, and then came the hard shit for him. But I’m sure that some of his missions were even more difficult. My point is that these guys paying $18K for this are almost funny.
But Kudos to you for at least giving it a try. If some dumb ass wants to hand me $18K to fuck with them for three days, I’m game.
But I do find their approach a little off. I mean, if I’m one of these guys paying $18K, I would think that I would want to get something out of this. It isn’t being billed as three days of playing games and being abused. It is more like being suggested that it will make you a better man. I’m not sure how what they are doing is making anyone a better man.
Part 2
I started this post around the same time that Angry Cops (Richard Hy) was making his video. Now, he went way deeper into this than I was going to go, and then I saw his video and well, he speaks the truth and is saying the same shit that I was hitting this BS on. Someone is paying $18k to be pissed on instead of being built up and taught how to be a man, instead, these jokers just beat the shit out of and yell at. If you want someone to yell “fuck” at you a million times, dude, I’m a Marine veteran and we are damn good at that shit. Hell, I’ll yell fuck at you for free.
After watching the Angry Cops video, I saw a much more in-depth look at what in the hell these guys are doing to these guys who are paying $18K. I was actually in shock to think that they are getting away with this bullshit.
“I have literally done my best, everything in my fucking power to kill every single one of you“
Alright, first off, no one is going to pay $18K to be killed, well, wait, I’m sure some nutbags out there would like to be killed and would pay for it, but you get what I’m saying.
Now, like Angry Cops mentions, sadly, someone did die from this course. In 2020, A guy by the name of Richard Spoon, who was 30 years old and married, was expecting their first child. And sure enough, he wasn’t some fat ass, he was in decent shape, in fact he was a health and fitness enthusiast, who participated in weightlifting, fitness challenges and Brazillian Jiu-Jisu. This guy loved hunting, fishing, and archery. This guy was a lineman with National Grid, a Gas and Electricity company. We are talking about a guy who loved fitness and was fit. And suitable for his wife, who filed a massive wrongful death lawsuit against a list of defendants

Welcome to the Average Joe Weekly blog. This is basically my place on the web where I can help spread some of the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. I served 10+ years in the Marine Corps on Active Duty, but that was some 25 years ago.
