Marine Veteran Shot At President Trump Rally

One of the victims shot at the rally of former President Trump on the 13th of July was a Marine Veteran and Commandant of the Marine Corps League in Westmoreland County (Detachment 1416), PA. 57-year-old David Dutch of New Kensington, Pennsylvania was one of three victims, along with former President Trump, who was shot at the rally.

David a a Operation Desert Storm veteran. 

David was shot in the liver and the chest and has already been through two surgeries to repair damage caused by the shooting. 

A statement released by David’s family is as follows:

“David and our entire family are especially grateful to all the first responders and medical professionals who saved his life, including the Life Flight and trauma surgical teams at AGH. As we focus on David’s recovery, we also offer our deepest condolences and prayers for the other victims of this tragic event and their families,” the statement read in part.

There is a GoFundMe page set up for the three victims and their families.

At the time of drafting this post, David has been upgraded to Serious condition.
