As A Veteran Are You Subject To The UCMJ?

If you answered “No”, then you might want to read this and watch this video. If you are a retiree, then you can be subjected to the UCMJ, if you just got out, then not so much.

And if you retired, they can call your ass back anytime, either in wartime or peace. In fact, the recall is already going, well, sorta. Currently, the Air Force is asking certain retirees of some branches in specific MOSs.

Retired officers, enlisted members can rejoin active duty to offset personnel shortfalls

And it isn’t clear if you can say no or not. According to some if you say no, then you will get charged with desertion.
