Stop Complaining

In my quest to get my world back where it belongs, I have been heading down a road of overall self-awareness and getting my mind and body back where it needs to be.

One of the hardest things for me is to STOP complaining, and just cut it out, it doesn’t resolve anything so just avoid it altogether. I know, easier said than done, but with practice, you can find a happy medium and cut out a fair chunk of the things in your life that cause you to complain. Replace those people, places, and things with things that you agree with or at least with people, places, and things you can get along with. It really takes practice and some things are easier than others, but soon you will find that most are just habits and that you can live without them.

Another huge thing for me is to stop saying “yes” to everything. I have always been a people pleaser and I often overextend myself just because someone asked. I’m learning how to stop doing that and it is a long road, but I’m going to get there.

One of my new favorite sayings is “Learn to sit back and observe, not everything needs a reaction“.

Learn to sit back and observe
Learn to sit back and observe, not everything needs a reaction

This very poster is proudly displayed on the wall in my office.
