Damn I Think I'm Seeing Things

I have noticed this for the past few years now, that periodically, my eyes play tricks on me. Usually, it has been an object usually very light in color or mostly made of light, that will move across my visual field sometimes in one eye other times across both eyes (one eye after the other). I’m not talking floaters or stars, these are slow-moving objects that appear out of nowhere and then slowly move across my field of vision. Sometimes there are also physical objects that will appear to distort or bend in a strange way for a few seconds, sometimes they repeat as well. It is very strange. And no, I don’t take any hallucinogenic drugs, but it could be a rare side effect of one of my prescription medications.

In fact, as I’m typing, the speaker on top of my monitor has a “grill” over the speaker itself and that grill keeps flashing and moving a few degrees to the right (clockwise), then it moves right back. There is also a bright flash of light that keeps appearing on the left side of my vision. It flashes for a few seconds and then disappears.

A few months ago, a small nearly spherical ball caught my attention on the far right side of my peripheral vision. The object slowly moved from the far right to the center and then to the left and far left. I’m not entirely sure what they are, but my optometrist said that my eyes look good, so I’m not too worried about it.
