Well, let’s just say that my first day with Lyrica is not going that well. My Neurologist told me that I can stop taking Gabapentin “cold turkey” and start taking Lyrica as a replacement. However, I was taking 1800mg of Gabapentin daily and now I’m only prescribed to take 150mg of Lyrica a day. I’m very confused by this since everything I can find online is telling me that I should be taking twice as much Lyrica as I currently am. So this means that I will be calling him in the morning to get clarification on the dosage. But more importantly, my first day on Lyrica was painful, to say the least. I have quickly discovered what pains I truly have that is for sure. My extremities are in so much pain that it has brought me to tears several times today. So that 70% of relief that I was getting from Gabapentin, is now 10% maybe 20% relief, and that pain score of 2 is more like a 6 or 7 all day long. At this point, I’m not a fan of Lyrica.

Let’s see what day 2 brings.
