Which is correct, “Dad” or “Father”? Either is correct. Either could be appropriate or inappropriate, according to the context. However, most will agree that “father” is more of a biological title and a little more. Any male can be a father. or as I refer to him “sperm donor”. The title dad is earned through hard work, nurturing, bonding with, and supporting your child for the long haul.
