Sergeant Nicole L. Gee
Marine Corps Sergeant Nicole Gee, 23, was a Marine from Roseville, California, attached to Combat Logistic Battalion 24, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based out of Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, serving as a maintenance technician.
Nicole joined the Marine Corps in 2017 and was promoted to Sgt just three weeks ago.
She is survived by her husband fellow Marine, Sgt Jarod Gee and her sister.
A week before she was killed, Gee cradled a baby in her arms at the Kabul airport. She posted the photo on Instagram and wrote, ‘I love my job.’
