Patriotic City - Marine Corps Statue
Dublin, California, which is a city rich in military history, opened a new community park that features a public art installation in the form of an American veteran’s memorial monument. The monument, which is titled “Crossroads” is part of the 30-acre Don Biddle Community Park. The monument features four bronze sculptures dressed in military uniforms. The monument is the work of Steven Whyte.
Ok, no big deal, many cities and towns have statues of military members.
Wait, what in the world is on his cover? Let’s take a closer look.
Why in the hell is the EGA on the cover rotated some 300 degrees? This has to be done intentionally by the sculptor. If you look at the photo of the sculptor with the four statues, the EGA isn’t present on the cover, so it was an afterthought. If you think this is someone’s joke done in Photoshop, guess again, here is a video clearly showing the mistake.

Welcome to the Average Joe Weekly blog. This is basically my place on the web where I can help spread some of the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. I served 10+ years in the Marine Corps on Active Duty, but that was some 25 years ago.
