A Marine and a Sailor Walk Into a Bar
We have all heard about the jobs involving members of the military and a bar. Well, a Marine and a Sailor walk into a bar, and the bar had to go to the Emergency Room. Well, that wasn’t very funny, but it wasn’t really meant to be.
This Navy Senior Chief (Senior Chief De’Andre L Edmondson) reminds me of former White House Chef and retired Army Master Sergeant Andre Rush. Rush has 24″ biceps and does 2,222 pushups daily as part of the 22 pushup challenge. Rush served as the White House Chef for four Presidents (Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump). After retiring from his duties at the White House, Rush was chosen to produce the television show “Chef in the City“
I had just about exhausted all of my efforts to identify the Senior Chief, and literally, the last link on my search results contained a post of the above photo and a comment on his name, from there the rest was easy.
Apparently, the SCPO was part of the Casket Bearers Platoon of the United States Navy Ceremonial Guard at Arlington National Cemetery, escorting fallen Sailors to their final resting spot. Today he is a Gunner’s Mate on the USS Portland.
