Wendy's In The 1990s

Wendy’s of the 1990s was a different place. The newspaper tables of the 1980s were gone, and the inside had house plants and even a solarium. Wendy’s was still competitive in the market and had a decent following. Founder Dave Thomas appeared in every Wendy’s commercial on TV.

I recently ran across these little golden nuggets of a 1990s training video for new Wendy’s employees. The first one is called “Cold Drinks” and it is a 90s banger torn from the Paula Abdul “Straight Up” playbook.

I detect a little Pink Floyd’s “Welcome to the Machine” and “Money” influences in parts of the video, along with a little Whodini on the side.
