Second Enbrel Injection
Today is the day that I give myself the first injection. A little nervous, not about the needle, but more about not screwing it up.
First, I moved the injection date from Thursday (when my doctor gave me my first injection) to Friday (as Fridays fit into my life better).
I of course have little feeling in my hands as they are normally numb most of the time and today was no different. When I got ready to stab myself with the auto-injector, it slipped out of my hand when I was transferring it from my left hand to my right hand and fell to the floor activating the auto-injector and spaying a cardboard box with $5,000 worth of Enbrel.
Good thing that I just received the shipment of my monthly injectors just a few days ago. I got another injector ready, let it warm up for about 30 minutes, and successfully injected myself. Now I’m dizzy and nauseated again ☹️. The box however is not reporting any side effects at all, lucky box.
