Getting Back to Basics

Part of my self-improvement (more like evolving) and dealing with this messed up world we live in, is to slow down, take time every day for yourself, hobbies, chilling, reading, whatever you want to do just for you and only you.

For me, I’m going back to my hobbies that made me happy. I’m back to collecting coins again. I’m taking photos again and I’m playing games on my computer again.

Purell WipesI haven’t collected coins in over 10 years and I just decided it is time for me to get back into it again. I find it fun and relaxing. I love taking photos, I have always been a photo bug so to speak and I’m making time to get out with both my 35mm DSLR and my cell phone cameras.

I’m not very good at the games I play on my PC, but they take my mind off of the world around me and allow me to get lost in the game, even if it is just for a few minutes.

Make time and take the time to focus on yourself.

For me, it can be as simple as taking a short walk or wiping my hands and face with a Chick-fil-A Purell hand sanitizing wipe (yes, I know they are Purell wipes).

I know a wet wipe, really, but I like the feeling of my skin after I have used one and it is a quick simple little break from reality for me.
