Recent Oregon Election Headlines

This shit really pisses me off, wait, hear me out first, this isn’t about gay bashing, it is about, who fucking cares? I mean, congrats, I guess for being a lesbian and getting elected, but your sexual orientation shouldn’t be a consideration for your election.

We have two women running for office, and instead of talking about their accomplishments, or their platform, NBC decides to make it about sexual orientation. I mean, 1) Who cares; 2) Why is this important; 3) Yeah, they’re getting laid, lol.

NBC News Headline is “The U.S. has never had a lesbian governor. These two women could change that

The really sad part is that we have two women, Gubernatorial candidates Maura Healey and Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives Tina Kotek, who both are very accomplished, and the only thing that people will hear about them during this election, is that they are both gay as if that is something that you should consider, come election day.

Maura Healey is currently the Attorney General of Massachusetts, being elected in 2014 and 2018. She went to Harvard and was a key player on their women’s basketball team, and even played point guard for a professional team in Austria. Her long-term partner is Gabrielle Wolohojian (it is unclear if they are married), who is also very accomplished.

Tina Kotek is currently the Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives, elected to the House in 2007. She is married to Aimee Wilson.

Good Luck to you both!
