Telework and Remote Jobs

If you need a job but are scared of COVID, have a phobia of being around other people, or like me, just not a people person, then maybe one of these websites is for you. This month’s “Cool Website” is actually four different websites that are posting remote or telework jobs. So if working from home is your jam, then you need to start hitting these websites and start applying for your perfect job today.

Remote jobs really took off during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many businesses changed their business model to include many more remote or telework jobs.

RemoteOK
RemoteOK is a job board for remote-focused job opportunities. You can search through jobs based on category (i.e. marketing, software development, customer service, etc.), or filter through tags for specific requirements within a position like Javascript. It does require you as the job seeker to create a free account.

RemoteOK is owned by NomadList so you can use both websites in tandem as they easily link between themselves. (source).

We Work Remotely
We Work Remotely is a remote job board where companies can pay to list remote job opportunities. The site is a great resource for employers who hire remote teams and companies that are looking for people with specialized skills.

On We Work Remotely you will find jobs that aren’t restricted by commutes or a particular geographic area. Jobs organized by category: marketing, design, programming, customer support, DevOps and sysadmin, copyrighting, business/exec, and management.

We Work Remotely was founded in Canada. Visitors from the U.S. make up 23% of total traffic to the site.

FlexJobs
FlexJobs is a subscription service for job seekers that features flexible and remote jobs. You can pay $24.95 for one month, $39.95 for three months, or $59.95 for a year.

It is probably the single most popular place online to find digital nomad jobs, including full-time online jobs and jobs with flexible schedules. FlexJobs has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and five-star ratings from hundreds of happy customers.

The CEO of FlexJobs is Sara Sutton, who is the genius behind, Remote.co and 1 Million for Work Flexibility, which are two other websites that specialize in remote jobs.
